T9

T9 stands for “Text on 9 keys”. This function makes text input with the few buttons on a mobile phone much more convenient because, as a rule, it is no longer necessary to press buttons multiple times to get the right letter. T9 is based on an intelligent text recognition system which uses a dictionary that is stored in the mobile phone.
